Fascias/Soffits in Oxted

Mrs Cannon from Oxted, Surrey, got in touch with us because the old fascias and soffits on her 1970s house in Oxted were looking tired and faded, and her guttering was leaking. The guttering was a particular problem since, if left untreated, leaky guttering can lead to damp or cause water damage. Our expert team worked closely with Mrs Cannon to identify what needed replacing and which materials best suited her requirements and tastes. We then planned to replace the fascias, soffits and guttering across a period of three days.

Low-maintenance fascias and soffits

The wooden fascias and soffits on this 1970s house would have looked beautiful when new, but wood requires a lot of maintenance to keep it looking at its best. Wooden fascias and soffits are also extremely prone to rotting and flaking. We discussed the options with Mrs Cannon, including materials and colours, and she opted for white UPVC fascias and soffits. Guaranteed for a minimum of 10 years, these offer a practical blend of good looks and easy maintenance. With beautiful detailing and skilled installation, the new system looked sleek and smart, and will stay looking great for decades.

Long-lasting guttering

We replaced Mrs Cannon’s old and leaky guttering with half round UPVC guttering and fitted new downpipes to match. UPVC guttering is a great choice for homeowners since it is cost effective, but durable and high quality, with a guaranteed lifespan of at least 10 years – and with no chance of rust, cracking or flaking. There is also a range of colours to choose from. In this case, the client opted for black guttering and downpipes, which created a crisp look against the new white fascias and soffits.

Hassle-free experience

The work was completed within three days, as planned. Mrs Cannon was extremely pleased with the results, and she had this to say about the Collier Roofing team: “Excellent experience all round and delighted with the results, wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.”
