Mr Dunbury contacted us about replacing the fascias, soffitsand gutteringon his detached house in Reigate. The old wooden fascias and soffits were tired, damaged and rotten, which looked out of keeping with the otherwise smart house. In addition, the old guttering was leaking and needed replacing in order to avoid problems with water damage and damp. After discussing with Mr Dunbury exactly what needed replacing and which materials best suited his property and tastes, we agreed to replace the fascias, soffits and guttering over a period of just a few days.

Long-lasting fascias and soffits

Wooden fascias and soffits require a great deal of maintenance to keep them in top condition. They are also very likely to flake and rot, and this can, over time, lead to damage to other parts of the roof. UPVC is a much better choice for those who want a low-maintenance solution that still looks great. We therefore removed Mr Dunbury’s rotten old fascias and soffits, and replaced them with new white UPVC fascias and soffits, which come with a 10-year guarantee and will stay looking sharp for decades.

Smart new guttering

UPVC is a practical choice for guttering since it lasts a long time (guaranteed for a minimum of 10 years), it won’t flake or rust, and it is also very cost effective. So, after removing Mr Dunbury’s leaky guttering, we replaced it with UPVC half round guttering. With a range of colour options, the client chose black guttering and matching black downpipes, which looked fantastic against the crisp white of the fascias and soffits.
